Healthcare Environmental Services Group are a full facilites waste management company operating throughout the UK from our regionalised depots.  We service over 7000 locations each month and have  a customer base exceeding 600 customers. We operate our own vehicles and disposal facilities with compliance to the forefront of our service.

We have over 60 employees operating throughout the UK, all fully trained in the safe collection of all types of waste.  We are members of the SMDSA & CIWM, all our systems are compliant with ISO 14001.

We shall ensure that all disposal sites utilised by us hold current waste management licences in accordance with the Waste Management licensing Act 1984 and all other relevant statutory requirements including Integrated Pollution Control (IPC Authorisation), Control of Pollution Act 1974 and 1980, The Environmental Protection Act 1990, Duty of Care 1990, the Safe Disposal of Clinical Waste (HSE guidance), Waste Management Paper 25 (DoE) and the Special Waste Regulations 1996.

The company shall undertake responsibility for the classification and labelling of the waste pursuant to the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail (Classification, Packaging, and Labelling) Regulations 1996. All waste storage containers supplied by ourselves, shall conform to the relevant British/ISO standard and UN approval as appropriate.

The company provides a fully audited waste collection and disposal service to each individual customer. To ensure compliance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990, (Duty of Care) Healthcare Environmental will provide a fully completed waste transfer note with each and every collection.

As part of our ongoing quality procedures the company is BS EN ISO 9002 accredited, our systems are compliant with IS0 14001, we are a recognised investor in people.

The company is a registered waste carrier registration number SWE/017730/CB, we operate the largest lndoor licensed medical waste treatment facility at our Shotts Head office, license number WML/W/220043.

As part of our standard service we provide legislation updates and staff training on the safe handling of all types of waste.
